Summer Finally Arrives

Irony: Summer has finally arrived here in the Pacific Northwest, coinciding with a return to the school calendar. We're trying to squeeze in some summer fun among classes and activities. We have a first grade girl and a preschool boy at our house this year--and it's BUSY!

    I really really love that photo of Sam on the rocky beach.

    And Maya's eyes remind me of that line from Ricochet River, when Wade says he could swim laps in Lorna's eyes.
